Charlotte op 't Hoog

PhD student

I am Charlotte, PhD student in the Drost group since September 2022. My projects are mainly focused on the tumor microenvironment of malignant rhabdoid tumors of the brain. I study the interactions of the different rhabdoid subtypes with the immune system and surrounding tissue using proteomics approaches, patient-derived organoids and co-culture systems. We hope that by understanding the different interactions, we can identify novel subtype-specific therapeutic targets.

In my spare time, I love going into the city for drinks or dinner with my friends. I really enjoy electronic and rock music. Hence, you can often find me at festivals and concerts. Although just a beginner, I’m trying to become an electric guitar player myself. I also enjoy sports, such as climbing, running, yoga and winter sports.
